Spring cleaning. What does it mean to you? For some people (read: my sweet grandfather) it means a thorough pressure washing of the house, window washing, and a freezer defrost. To him it also means corralling all of us with the help of a good ole fashioned guilt trip.
For me, it’s a little more like decluttering. I love to go through every room of the house & throw away things that I just don’t need anymore. I’m a declutter-er by nature, but things still pile up without me noticing.
Here’s an embarrassing, but true story. When I packed up all of our belongings at our old house, I didn’t really declutter anything. We have two movie collections with more overlap than I care to talk about. We have approximately 147 serving spoons, and we have four, yes FOUR colanders. I get so much anxiety just thinking about all this clutter sitting in our storage units. Seriously, you guys. I would take Mason & start dragging stuff out to sort. Did I tell you we have three copies of X-men? I know this, and somehow didn’t manage to discard two. This is really out of character for me, but I was just so busy when we were moving and I didn’t do my due diligence.
So, I have a strategy for some spring cleaning around the house & I will be referencing this as soon as our
crap priceless possessions are out of storage.
So, I made a list of 40 things to get rid of, that you’ll never miss!
This wasn’t meant to be a lengthy post, so here’s the goods:
